It's an ongoing list which you can add to - if there's something we haven't yet covered add a comment to the bottom of the page and we'll incorporate them into the page.

To convert UK to US prices and vice versa:

Take the UK price in pounds and multiply it by 1.6

Take the US price in dollars and divide it by 1.6

It would also be heelpful to have somewhere on here to convert UK currency in to canadian money, it gets very confusing!

wordbird   28th Dec 01

Two things :)

*Jumpergirl-if you can convert the UK money to US dollars, I usually just double the price to come to Canadian. It comes to a close estimate.

*Around here a canter and a lope are two very different things.. and so is a trot and a jog. I think you might be getting them mixed up with Western terms and English terms instead of US and Uk? Another thing, I always thought a Driving Whip and a Lounging Whip were two different things.

Kate   19th Feb 02

In the US we also use canter, trot, crop, Lunge Whip, Girth. It's not just the UK that uses those.

Christy   4th Apr 02

Just a note...

Pinto is a colour type: a Piebald has only large white and black markings while a Skewbald has white and any colour other than black.

Lauren   3rd Jun 02

Hey WordBird,
Yeah, in the US, we use trot and canter too, but that's only for riding English. When riding Western we call it jog and lope.

Lewis   18th Nov 02
