| Introduction |
|
Dinkling Green Farm covers 460 acres and forms part of the Duchy of Lancaster's Whitewell Estate which Myerscough College took over the tenancy of in 1975. The farm ranges in height from 600 feet to over 1,400 feet and supports a flock of over 1,000 ewes. Nestling at the foot of the fells 0.5 mile from the road the traditional stone farm buildings provide the ideal starting point for an enjoyable trek into surrounding hills and countryside.

| Directions |
|
Whether travelling from the North or South, leave the M6 at junction 32. Leave the motorway and follow A6 North signposted Garstang. At the traffic lights turn right, signposted Longridge (B5269). Follow the B5269 to Longridge (approx. 5 miles) and turn left at the roundabout as you enter Longridge, signposted Chipping, Beacon Fell Country Park, Trough of Bowland. Continue to follow the signs for Chipping. At the T junction in Chipping turn right, signposted Clitheroe (9miles). At the War Memorial turn left, signposted Bowland with Leagram, Dunsop Bridge. Follow the road for approx. 3.5 miles until a sharp right hand bend with a red telephone box on the left. The entrance to Dinkling Green is straight ahead down a farm track (0.5 miles).

A range of routes are available either within the boundaries of the farm or on a selection of loops which range from 5 - 25 miles. All rides follow tracks or pass through open farmland and fell and involve very little road work.

Picnics and BBQ's can be arranged on request, please ask for details. Refreshments are available. When using the centre's horses all treks must be supervised. If you have your own horse, you can ride the routes around Dinkling Green. We will provide maps and parking.
