Bursted Manor Riding Centre is nestled in a valley just outside Bridge, near Canterbury. We lie in some of the most attractive English countryside.
The Centre was established 36 years ago and is run by Pam and Becky Tombs. The centre has always provided a professional and caring environment for all levels of rider.
Bursted Manor Riding Centre has around 30 experienced horses and ponies available for riders. Our animals cater for every riding standard and age group.
Equal attention is given to those who wish to enjoy riding as a leisure activity, as well as those who wish to train towards competition level or exams either privately or in a group lesson.
You can learn to ride in safety and confidence with our friendly and enthusiastic team of experienced staff.
Bursted Manor is easily accessible from any area. Nestled in the Pett Bottom valley, behind Bridge, we are 10 minutes from the A2.
From the A2 South Bound, take the Junction signposted for Bridge, turning right at the junction towards Bridge. At the crossroads go straight across heading towards Chartham and Pett Bottom. Follow the lane, take the second left (approx 1.5 miles) signposted to Pett Bottom. Follow the lane, approximately 2 miles, past the Duck public house, at the next junction, right up Bursted Hill, the stables are on the right.
From the A2 North Bound, take the Junction signposted for Bridge, drive through the village, past traffic calming. At crossroads turn left heading towards Chartham and Pett Bottom. Follow the lane, take the second left (approx 1.5 miles) signposted to Pett Bottom. Follow the lane, approximately 2 miles, past the Duck public house, at the next junction, turn right up Bursted Hill, the stables are on the right.
Please take care on the approaching lanes as they are frequently used by our own and local horses.

Lesson bookings are taken either directly at reception or by telephone and will be written down for your ease if required. Please note that half the lesson price charged if you do not provide a minimum of 24 hrs notice of cancellation. No credit will be given if cancelled after this time.
We expect to ride in most weather conditions, every effort is made to use the indoor facilities in inclement weather. We are happy to hack in most conditions.
