Shanter is a friendly, family run yard, offering tuition from a basic level to advanced dressage and show jumping. Hacking facilities are excellent - the beach is just a short trot away and we can cater for both beginners and more experienced riders.

|
Come in to Maidens from the North (ie from Maybole) and take the first turning on your left (Shanter Road). Head up this road for 200 metres and then go left. You will see the riding centre about 300 metres away on your right. Follow the road round into the yard.

Hacking Details
|
The hacking opportunities are wonderful. You can canter along the sand and through the sea (depending on your experience) and go into the beautiful Culzean Country Park for a wander among the wildlife (swans, deer etc). For the less experienced rider, we offer gentle walking and trotting along the sand and into the country park.
Rider safety is paramount at all times - you will be in the care of a skilled and experienced hack leader during your ride. A beach ride is brilliant fun, whatever your age and riding ability.
