It has gone swimmingly, we are now down to a small amount of hard feed and lots of simple sytems food (grass pellet, unmolassed sugarbeet and luciebix)
For 2 years now, ever winter i have struggled with feeding, changed feeds 100 times, don't like mixes, don't like cubes, don't like alfa, don't like sugarbeet, doesn't like barley rings, as well as being a totally hyper TB horse!
I should have changed to simple systems, ok its a pain to start with working it out, but i now have a horse that eats and enjoys it, she actaully demands her feed in the morning instead of looking at me as if to say 'i have to eat that!'.
For all you who don't know its a completly natural diet consisting on no molasses, its all fibre, grass pellets, unmolassed sugarbeet, unmolassed alfa. To all those ponies and sugar addicted horses it takes some time to get used to, but for the fussy ones (mine, i hadn't realised shouldn't like molasses) it's a blessing
i was relucant to start it off as i had to put in a min order of £60, although i now realise i will save money and food!
hope it continues!
