Could it be mud fever???

Sietske has bald patches on 2 of her legs. One on the front is a line, the one on the back looks like she has been scratching it with her hoof. There is no broken skin but it is noticeably alot warmer on these bald patches. What could it be??

Given the conditions of the ground right now, it could well be mud fever. I had an Exmoor that got mud fever a few years back. His legs were 'patchy with like small crusts on them. The hair did come out and leave small patches. Get the vet to have a look at your pony.
