Lumps

i have a 11 year old mare wid blocked saliva glands and the vet doesnt know wat to do about it he was gonna call some uni to find out. has anyone eva had this happen to there horse??:confused: could i ride her?:confused: i havent ridden her in 3 weeks and was just getting her bak into shape.

Hi chloe, I haven't had a horse with this problem but if she was mine I would phone the vet and ask, usually they are happy to advise on this kind of thing over the phone :) Hope it gets sorted soon.

Yer the vet didnt no wat it was at first so put her on bute and they stayed the same 4 awhile then the lumps grew so he put her on antibotics but nothing happened so he did and fine needle thingy and a blood test.

he explained wat it was but didnt no how to fix it so im kinda stuck ( the vets here arent really horsey).:D
