Has anyone used turn out wraps or chaps in their muddy field please? Which make is best? Does the mud not creep up on the inside? Dont they get wet and horible so the legs dont dry off? Do you need to wash clean and dry the boots every night for next mornings use?

Salsa is now out in rubber over reach boots and brushing boots all round. If the boots are put on so that they are firm, but not too tight, they stay in place and no mud gets underneath them. If they're a bit loose, they tend to slip down and that's when they get mucky against the skin.
I specifically bought boots with a PVC outer so that I could wipe them clean. They are foam padded, so they keep the skin dry and clean, and don't take a lot of work to get the mud off the boots. Usually, I wash the OR boots every night, as mud does sometimes get under those on to the hoof, but the brushing boots only get a good clean every few days.
Neoprene boots are a bit more difficult as they can take a while to dry off again after use. I used Neoprene turnout chaps last year and wasn't happy with them at all :(.

I used equichaps last year, but they dont fit now :( They need bigger sizes!!!!
His mud fever vanished and no mud creeped up. If you hose them off when you bring the horse in the thick of the mud comes off. And i used to wash once a week. If there is any excess clumps, just get a dancy brush and quicly give 'em a brush :D

I've got Hardy chaps which do the same thing as equichaps but they have more padding and are more for preventing injuries but do keep the mud out great!!!!
I just scoosh them with water everyday and stick them in the airing cupboard at home every night and they're ready for the next day.
I also use them for travelling in the summer so I get all year round use for them!!!!
