I'm currently jobless and am down to my last bag of Lucienuts ! Even when I do get a job I'm not going to be able to afford to buy a pallet of a time of Simple Systems so am going to have to swop back to feeding something I can buy in less quantity.
I have a lot of Total Eclipse left so am ok for a while and have lots of linseed and SS sugarbeet.
I'll go back to speedibeet when the SS sugarbeet runs out but what would be the best replacement for Luciebix/lucienuts - I was thinking Dengie Alfalfa A Lite ? (Lite as she was on Hi Fi Lite pre the switch). I was thinking about going back to the Hi Fi Lite but feeding alfalfa has really suited her this year.
Then what do I do about the Total Eclipse ? She was on Baileys LoCal Balancer so I could go back to that but she has djd and I was wondering about Blue Chip Dynamic with seaweed as an additive if necessary ? Also if she's been having brewers yeast in the Total Eclipse will I need to add yeast ?

Instead of Lucibix I would get Alfa lite (no molasses) and soak it a bit, that should be similar, and for the Lucinuts dengi make Alfa pellets which is just pellets of alfa which you soak down :D We also find Grass nuts round here which also might be worth looking at :D
I would stick to the total eclipse, if you can - can't you order that in smaller qty's?

Dengie website said there is molasses extract in the Alfa A Lite - must just be a small amount ?
Unfortunately because of where I am I have to order a pallet a time - 10 items minimum, no-one else at the yard feeds it and I don't know anyone in the area I can split with. It's really frustrating cos the delivery guy is literally 5 minutes from my house, if only they distributed it as well as delivered it there would be no problems.
I started out on luciebix and switched onto lucienuts when she went a bit off Luciebix, she still ate them just seemed to welcome the variety.
What's doubly frustrating is I have just been offered a job which I had an interview for this week, but can't take it because of the shift timings - there would be no-one to see to Z 2 or 3 days (nights) a week and I can't afford to pay someone to do it on the wages offered, catch 22.
Really annoying this, she looks so good on this food and has great energy levels, her feet and coat are fantastic - if I get the mud off my grey mare is still shining now, think the Total Eclipse will last for about 3 more months (one benefit of having to buy in bulk). Blue Chip Dynamic has linseed in it, plus yucca, msm etc so may be able to stop feeding her Naf Superflex.
Right off to the feed store to get the first Alfa Lite so we can start the switch.

How about phoning up SS and asking in if there is anyone else in the area who gets it delivered - they're bound to know.

Yeah i did ask last time but was told there was no-one near me, am going to try them again as maybe they can do something rather than me having to stop using it.
Thanks

Why don't you try Dengie Alfa Beet pellets. These are very nice product unmolassed 50/50 alfalfa and sugar beet that you soak down like regular sugar beet. Then if you wanted to use something like Alfa |A Lite as well this would keep the molasses to a minimum.
