I'm doing a fun show in a few weeks, its a mixture of ridden and in hand classes.
My question is:
Is it ok for when doing the in hand to make life easier to take off my long boots and just wear my jophur boots with my jophurs over the top?
Thank you!!! :D
also should i put his fancy browband on for the ridden classes? Its only fun classes such as:
handsomest Gelding
horse most suited to rider
and Best horse

If it's a fun show, you can usually do whatever you want (so long as it's safe), and I'll bet there wouldn't be any problem with you not wearing your tallboots, so long as whatever you wore was horse-appropriate (so that you won't get hurt if you get your toes stepped on). And go ahead and use your fancy browband if you want, so long as it doesn't take away from your horse's head. You may always want to wait and see what the other riders are using/doing if you wonder about something... after all, you want to look good, but not stick out like a sore thumb!
I hope you have fun! Tell us all how it goes! I wish they had fun shows like that around here. ;)

I wont go into details about what is wrong with this picture (and I knew it all at the time!), but my long boots were rubbing and I couldn't run. I didn't get any comments to my face anyway :p

I would normally turn out for inhand as such;

And I do think that a pair of trousers over something you can run in looks better than jods.

Ok thank you,
but riding wise should i put him in the fancy browband with the pelham in or just leave him in his plain one?

I'd go for his fancy one seeing as it's only a fun show i doubt anyone will be that picky! Have fun and good luck! :D
