So I started leasing two mares last month...one is a total sweetheart, but she is only walking and trotting as she was recently rescued. The other is very well trained, but has started developing a bad behavior (she likes to run into one corner and not come out  ) So today I went over there and got some help from her owner, and we worked through our problems...did lots and lots of steering work (found out I was really only using one hand to steer, when I needed to be switching everything up as she is a VERY smart madam), and by the end, we were quite comfortable going past that corner on both reins, and in both walk and trot (she doesn't really do it in canter).

So, needless to say, I am sooo sooo sooo happy and have very high hopes for the future! :D Just wanted to share my excitement with you guys!

oh that must feel great! Congratulations! Interesting how it's the 'difficult' horses (ie the smart ones!) that help point out our errors, isn't it? :-)
