In July I will be 15 and I wondered how long I could compete Katey for?
Is upto 16 or 17 or even 18 years old that you are considered a junior??

i think its 16 that you have to be considered as a junior.
but thats BSJA (affiliated) rules, if your just competing at unaffiliated it doesnt really matter, well, thats the rule at NSJC (norfolk show jumping club) and they run it as BSJA rules.
hope that helped :)

But would I still be able to compete in Pony classes when I am 17????
Bearing in mind this will only be at lower level shows!!!!

At riding club and normal unaffiiated events you will unless the rules state otherwise.
However, i am not sure if pony club allow U16's on anything under 14.2 but someone correct me if i am wrong:p

I'm in the Pony Club and I'm 17 (18 in July) and joined at 16 with my 12.3hh Dartmoor Hill Pony Fidget. I do look a bit tall on him but he can carry me fine and he takes up my leg really well (very native!!) and I'm bringing him on. They're all really nice to me-I'm usually in with the 10 year olds, most of which are riding a bigger pony than me(!!!) but they understand-if I didn't have Fidget I wouldn't have anything as my parents are NOT horsey!!It's brilloant experience for Fidget and you get instruction from some really good specialised teachers!!Oh, and I'm planning to compete locally lots this year with Fidge as it will be our last summer together:( I don't care what people think, so long as my pony is happy and I'm not hurting him at all
