Just realised You have to jump
Even level one? Are there many jumps, are they scary?
This could scupper my trec career before it starts !

The beauty of TREC is that it doesn't scupper anything! :D If you don't want to jump an obstacle you don't have to - you aren't eliminated, you just don't get any points for that particular one. At level one the jumps are pretty modest anyway :)

Echo Yann!

You don't have to do anything in le Trec:D

I did a level one last year and there were two in the PTV - a couple of bales of hay and a small crosspole. We didn't do either.

Then when out on the route there was a small ditch - we didn't do that one either!

Mind you if your horse will do it and you don't mind jumping under 2 ft they are two or three easy sets of 10 points.

thanks all.I didnt realise that at all. Will gen up once my book arrives :) feel much reassured now though.
Robbie can jump and enjoys it but I really need some lessons to get my nerve up-Im working on that.
Plus I wanted one of the kids to do it on a pony who would be fantastic at everything else but is a terrible jumper.
I got a bit worried as I read a report of a ride that casually mentioned jumping the "big hedge" at the end

Hello :) I've not heard if there will be one this year, if there is then it will probably be September. I think the problem is that there are only so many ways to go on a circular ride from the yard so there isn't much scope for variation if you hold one every year.
