We saved a lot of money by making our own jump poles from our wood lot. They were free for the taking and make a beautiful rustic course.
I cut down a number of straight saplings that are the right size around. Then, trimmed them to length and pruned the branches. Depending on the species of tree, you may have to replace them every 5 years or so as they rot.
