Here are some piccies of my new 'school' that I've set up with jumps and trotting poles and cones as posts and i'l have rope as rails to make a fence.

All I have to do is get some tape or rope for around the top of my boundery cones and I'l have a proper school that I can trust Kia not to 'disappear down the field in canter' in :rolleyes:

What do you guys think??? Innovative or Rubbish???

Great idea in principle- I did similar with electric tape (not electrified!) and posts last summer... it works just fine, and does tend to stop you worrying about being 'carted' off down the field... Dolly certainly respected the boundaries and only carted me round the school!!

BUT... you weren't thinking of using it now, were you?! Just looking at that 'lake' in the background tells me that in common with most places that field is a bit on the wet side right now, and if you 'school' on it, you'll end up with a muddy quagmire in no time at all!

I'd save that idea for the spring when the ground is drier and you won't end up with a poached mess that you can't ride on at all if I were you!:D

Get some of them metal dressage markers that you stamp into the ground and your sorted.

Our 'school' is just a very flat, well-drained patch of the field that we fence off with electric tape and poles. It's electrified when not in use to stop Kim destroying it!

How come your 'school' isn't under a foot of water!? It's not fair!:eek:

I was bored today :D I got all high after my great hack (see thread) and had to burn off all excess 'high' energy so i put it to good use and did this!!!

The part of the field that the 'school' is set up on is higher and drier than the rest of the field anyway that's why i built the 'school' on it.

Wasn't planning on using it anyway just making use of the good weather!!! :D

I do that aswell but I use electric fence(not on!!!)!
I move it around every 2-3 weeks to stop it getting muddy!!!
