i posted this in general and just realised is hould have put it here!!!

I have been offered the chance to do my BHS riding and orad safety at a friends livery yard....thought the easiest way to find out experiences would be to ask you guys!!!! what do you have to do, did anof you find it too hard work, how much theory is involved???

I found the simulated road test the most difficult bit simply because it is so false! You have to look around and wait for imaginary cars etc...:rolleyes:

same here the simulated bit was definatley the hardest, although I thought it was a relatively easy exam. I think you need to have at least 8 hours of qualified training before you take it. If that's not compulsory then it's definately advisable as the simulated road route is so fake. I had the joys of taking my R&RS exam on a nappy horse that also whinnied the whole way round and spooked at the most ridiculous of things! she got taken out after I'd ridden her!
It's good if you brush up on the highway code and get the BHS riding and road safety manual.
Good luck with the exam and just enjoy it! It's quite fun on the day :)
