I am thinking of trying my hand at showing in the summer and I hardly know of any classes:o :o !!!
I would be doing them on Katey who is a 14.2hh dark bay quite fine TBXDartmoor 12yo mare who has good, straight conformation and she can jump quite well.
I'm not really much good at plaiting tails but I can plait manes ok:rolleyes: !!
It would only be for fun really, just something to have a go at!!
Just something different really!!!
Any ideas and what should I wear?
I have a blue show jacket, cream jodhs, black jodh boots but I have a ventilated hat, would the hat be a problem?

Do you have a photo of her? What classes she's suited to depends on what she looks like, although she'd be able to do pony club/riding club horse/pony classes and working hunter classes. For working hunters it's correct to have a tweed jacket (but you can still compete in your blue if you can't get a tweed).

The jumping pic is one from in the summer but she does now pick her feet up properly!!
Hope this helps!

She's lovely, and looks like a Hunter Pony type to me, so she could do that as well as pc pony, working hunter pony and things like best turned out, best conditioned and family pony. Why don't you have a look at this website to see about turnout etc www.showingtips.co.uk

You'd do well to get a tweed jacket with shirst and tie and brown gloves, but the rest of your outfit is fine for really local level. You'd want to get some different things if you wanted to do lots of shows or show at a higher level (velvet hat, brown jod boots or long black leather boots).
