have you guys any ideas for making spooky jumps and fillers as prctice jumps at home to get lady to trust me more.
we went to a working hunter on sunday and there was a cottage, around a metre high and she wouldn't go near it. so thats first on the list albeit a smaller version.
so i've thought of
cottage!
balloons, tied to wings and or poles
tarpaulin, (blue water jump)
brush fence
logs. (strange how these look scary in an indoor lol)
barrells
cones
have you anything else to add.

all your ideas sound good, just make sure that they are safely secured to the jumps and dont pose any hazards. Good luck and be careful!

Getting your horse to back over a pole always tends to be a good excersize. Mayo was so scared of backing over a pole when I first asked him to do it. Builds some trust up if nothing else;)

you could get flower boxes, or big flower pots and fill them with brightly coloured plastic flowers, or feathery grasses.
If you have some spray paint and some plywood, you could spray paint the plywood bright colours and then lean them against the jump poles to make like a ramp jump.
Different coulered tarps are the best, you can hang them on verticles, lay them across oxers (to make a brightly coloured box type fence), put them under jumps for a liverpool effect, jump them on their own like a ditch. I love tarps, they are scary creatures!

someone at my yard got some old doors to make a palisade.
we used tarpaulin draped over a pole also under two poles to make a ditch effect, you can use pretty much anything!

so had a go at the balloons tonight. it was good. she snorted  and gave them the evil eye when we were warming up, then i let her have a sniff and touch and put her at the jump. she sailed over no prblem, it wasn't high around 60cm but i wanted to keep them small to let her see that they don't hurt and won't eat her leg off when see over them lol.
i also bought a tarpaulin but that can wait till tomorrow! one step at a time me thinks!;)
have a look at the scary balloon jump. they were moving in the wind so it added to the effect.

We used my RI's Christmas tree a couple weeks ago.:D
That was fun.
Really just think of the absolute most random items ever and jump them.
We've jumped tires, haystacks, a log that we lined rubber ducks on top of, a refridgerator box we painted...:p
We had a lot of time at the barn this summer if you can't tell............
