Really excited. Just booked a session of Bowen therapy for Carrie. Thought I'd treat her to a little something :D

Fantastic :) I'm sure that she's really benefit from it.

We have a Bowen/Reiki therapist come to the yard once a month which is great. You ought to get yourself a treatment one day, the results can be amazing.

It's possible that I can get Bowen treatments on my insurance following my recent car accident. They're already paying for physio so I'm hoping that they'll go for the Bowen as well ... fingers crossed :)

Please let us know how she gets on :D

Aaaah good for you. It's made a really big difference to P, she used to do a good imitation of a headshy giraffe at times but now she spends half her time doing long low stretches & seems to spend the rest of the time yawning for some reason! Poohsmate has told me that now P's sorted, I'm the strange wonky stiff person who's letting the side down so I'll be having a treatment soon!

Do you really think it helps? I might have a chat with her when she comes to see Carrie. I'm falling apart at the seams and now I have a dodgy back to add to the list of problems!

My McTimony practitioner told me I was wasting my money paying for her to make sure my horse was alright if I didnt spend as much effort with my own back. If you are sore on your back you tend to alter your weight distribution when riding to make yourself comfortable. But in fact you are making it difficult for your horses back..

hi
i do try to treat the rider as well as the horse, there is no point getting the horse balanced if the rider is unbalanced, something which most of us are:eek:
i also think it is a good idea for the owner/rider to feel the effects of bowen so they can relate to how their horse may be feeling:D :D

I'm having my treatment tomorrow & Poohsmate is up on Sunday, so maybe he'll be able to comment on whether my wonky stiffness is any better! As for relating to what P is feeling, well she aint exactly backward in coming forward - if she's in significant discomfort I suspect she'll see to it that I am too via some well aimed teeth!!!
