From last weekend, i was so bad lol! Zola was a fab girl, if it was any other pony, she would have had me off! Lol. I know i can inprove on my lines for definite and landing after the jump sitting up! Lol, im guessing by the vids i was doing it out of laziness as it is so bad! Lol. I also noticed that on the smaller ones i sort of throw my hands at her about 1/2 a stride before! :eek: Awful! Lol, anything you can pick up on will be great!!

Its difficult to see from front on really. You've got a lovely honest pony though there!

I thought they were pretty good videos actually! I know theres no way I could jump 3ft3 with out looking a right plonker! Love your pony though!! How sweet is she! She obviously loves her jumping! One thing I did pick up on from your vis though was that after the jump you always look down to the left. Is this because your checking you're on the right leg? I know I have a habbit of doing that. Thats the only thing that I can really comment on, I think they were quite nice vids!:D

you might want to work on your approach to the jump. Even though some times at competitions you have to make crooked, sloppy approaches, if you are only doing a single jump like that, you want to try to make a straight approach, and deeper corner. Other than that, your position looks great, and your pony is absolutely adorable.....you look great.

I'm not very good at feeling if I'm on the right leg, it takes me quite a few strides to work it out, by which time it is sometimes too late! My instructor put a jump up on the centre line, and left about 3 or 4 strides between the jump and the end of the arena. We had to jump the jump and then look straight ahead and work out which way we had to turn when we got to the end of the arena. Was quite a good exercise, although admittidly some people just couldn't make their decision fast enough and forgot to turn!:p

What I tend to do is just glance down with my eyes, but with out moving my head, this way your still staying pretty much is balence. Its a bit of the cheats way though!! lol :p :D

Hehe, that would be me forgetting :D But i think Zola would take me the right way! Lol, i might try that though, seems a good i dea, might have to leave a few more strides to cope with her fast striding after! Lol, thanks!

well done!!!

what are the heights in cm??:o

JOJOBA
3rd Feb 2007, 05:18 PM
1 foot = 30.48 centimetres
1 inch = 2.5 centimetres
sooo.....

2ft = 60.96cm
3ft = 91. 44cm

3ft 3in would be near enough to 99cm, close enough to a metre to not matter ;)

No critique from me as I wouldn't even jump half that height never mind that thing!:eek: I noticed that you looked back too but i thought you were just seeing if you'd left the fence up or not.

I agree with what the others have said.You need to work on getting a nice straight approach by riding your corners and also the same with the landing.You need to make sure you are straight and that you do not allow the horse to cut corners.

Were you doing the filming yourself? If so, that is TALENT!! I wish I could do that! It was soo cute, looked like Zola was setting up the camera :)

I love seeing pics and videos of you and Zola...you make such a great team! I have nothing to say that hasn't already been said...keep up the good work!

You seem to be going really fast at the fences. Just vary it with straight and steady.
