So Excited - Clinic with Heather

I'm booked for a clinic at Blue Barn with Heather, I'm so excited having read the book and seen the video can't wait to meet her in person, and see she what she makes of my spooky horse. Should be quite an interesting lesson, and I'm hoping that someone can finally help me absorb the movement of his extremely bouncy trot.

Hi, I'm going to watch both clinics at Blue Barn and, best of all, I get to be a quinea pig at the lecture/demo as well! I'm looking forward to it so much. I often think that you can learn nearly as much by watching other people being taught, if not more sometimes. Look forward to meeting you there!

I'm so jealous, I have a lesson at Heather's with Della once every two weeks, and I spend my time either analysing what I've learnt or waiting for the next one. I would love to be able to do the clinic's but I have a mare that's having a foal in June which is taking up my time, so I don't feel I could leave her for that long.

I have Heather on a big pedestal, her methods are so easy and make so much sense. What's more it makes so much sense to the horses I ride as well. You would think they would have to be trained in this way but they don't. You can almost here them say "thank god for that, somebodies teaching her to ride at last".

One thing I would say though is take a video camera if you can. I get so disappointed sometimes when things aren't going how I want them, and Della trys to remind me that my riding has come on a lot in the past few months, which it must have I suppose because I can feel so much more now, but it would be useful to be able to compare the then and now pictures.
