Because I am planning on showing Katey in the summer for fun, what would I have to trim on her?
She has a rather hairy head at the moment but it usually goes in the summer.
Should I trim the outside of her ears?
Oh and her heels?Take or leave?
Help!!!

i have some little trimmers (about £15) and take off feathers and any beard. squish the ears together and snip any hair off that sticks out :)

Is she a certain breed? If she is, it should be done according to the breed standard for that breed, and if she's a coloured traditional she shouldn't be trimmed, but if not, trim off her feathers/heals and beard, and a bit at the bottom of her mane to just above her withers. You should trim down the outside of her ears. Some people do a bridle path and trim off whiskers too, but neither are compulsary.

She is a 14.2hh dark bay 7/8 TBX 1/8 Dartmoor mare.
Here's a couple of pics of her.
