I got up this morning, and mummy dearest tells me we're going to a show. Isn't it nice to have semi-horsie parents?(She also wanted to buy me a 2 year old filly last week, blissfully unaware it was a baby racehorse bless her)
Anyway. So we got there at 1.30 and joy, the 2 foot 6 was in progress. I entered, learned the course, tacked up, warmed up. The lot. And oh my was Lacey being lazy?? Not coming off my leg well, and I'd left my whip at home. Brilliant. Got into the 2 foot 6. She literially trotted round. The only time she cantered was from the double to another fence on a dogs leg. Anyhow, somehow, I don't know how, somehow, she managed a clear round.
Jump off..History repeated herself, she barely moved  but we got round. Only 3 people managed double clears, and amazingly enough the other two managed to canter so we came third. :D
2 foot 9, something clicked into place and whoosh Lacey was back. She jumped a uber lovely clear. Jump off..She was very good, got a little close into the bogey fence (2nd part of the double) and rubbed it and it came down, but only 2 people went clear and although I didn't go particularily fast in it, her natural rhythm carried us to be the fasted 4 faulters and we came 3rd again.
After a bit of oohing and aahing, I decided to do the 3 foot. Long decision making thing because she hadn't jump 3 foot before and as a rule I only do 2 classes. But we thought, why not?
She jumped clear. And then she jumped clear again. And without trying my uber baby won it <3. Then some lovely woman organising the competition told me the first part of the double (remember my beastie had problems with doubles 3 weeks ago?) was 3 foot 6 with a 2 foot 9 spread, and another upright was also 3 foot 6, just 'cause they felt like it.
So here are stills of the videos, I'll post them in the morning since my new video editor is taking forever to save.
I only took them from the 3 foot and the 3 foot jump off because I'm tired and want to go to bed.

I'm SO proud of her. I'm not going to regularily jump 3 foot for a while, well jumping 2 foot 6 and 2 foot 9 next week, then she's having a 3 week break before I do a 2 foot 9 and 3 foot show warm up for trailblazer regionals the weekend after the weekend after that. AND THEN IT'S CRICKLANDS!!
Oh yeah, Lovely Lace has now qualifed, in total for these things; Malthouse Championships 1 foot 9, 2 foot 3, 2 foot 6 and 3 foot (well could have, unfortunatly i entered the 1 foot 9 champs when I qualified for it, so now we kind of have to do that but I feel a bit bad, also doing 2 foot 3, not following up the 2 foot 6 and 3 foot qualifcations for that because she'll be too tired), Cricklands 2 foot 6 and Trailblazer regionals 2 foot 6 and 3 foot. :o
