hi i am on my auntes account. i just had my first riding lesson today and it was brill.i got the hang of the rising trot within 20 seconds of getting on the horse and i even managed to canter. i am goin on an hour hack on friday and i can't wait. has anyone had the same experience as me, getting the rythm right? look forward to your replies

i see you're in essex aswell where do you ride? i am a 15 yr old lad and got the hang of it quite quick.x

Yeah that is quite quick to get a hang of it. But I suppose with a family member in the sport, it comes easier. It took me a while to get my rising trot (called posting trot in US).....and at least 4 lessons till I cantered. Great Job...I love hacking!!
