I was wondering if anyone had any amazing tips on how to get my 'white' saddle pad sparkley clean? it currently as a big horse slobber stain (thanks chole!) down it which seems impossible to shift! i really want to use it in some shows that are fast approching but i think i'll be the laughing stock if i show up with it in its current state!!! lol!

thanks Abi :D

Try dishwasher tablets, they seem to be better at removing the organic muck. It is best to wash the pad a second time with ordinary detergent afterwards just in case the dishwasher stuff irritates the horse.

Before I was smart enough to only polish the outside of my boots, I got black boot polish all over my white saddle pad. I mixed laundy detergent with bleach and scrubber it until I got it clean. Then I washed the pad with detergent and more bleach to get the whole thing sparkling white. Just make sure you wash it again in plain water so the bleach doesn't irritate their skin.

I normally just hose mine down because when i wash it in the washing machine it gets smaller and the skin gets harder so personally i like hosing it down it make take an hour but it means the skin isnt harder than it was
