My lunge horse - Weltfürst.....

Hello everyone,

I'm a returner to riding after three kids and a 20!!!! year break. My
daughter and I have started at the same time and have been having
lunge lessons on a WONDERFUL schoolmaster called Weltfürst. I was
wondering if he is related to the great producer Weltmeyer, as I
gather they all have Welt in their name somewhere?

If anyone knows, I`d love to find out more about him. He is the
most generous and lovely horse. He stands at 16.3 and is a very
sensitive horse to ride.

he may not be related to weltmeyer, he is prob more likely related to Fürst Heinrich, he was the stallion who died aged 7 from being pushed too far, we have a 4yr stallion down our yard by him.:)

He may be a cross between the two. There is that possibility. You should ask your RI or the owners about his bloodlines.

Thanks guys, I hadn`t heard of Fürst Heinrich,so I´ll
try googling him. It`s always interesting to find out
the bloodlines of our favourite horses....

Not necessarily related at all.
Many german horses include the name Welt in the first part of their horses. Some do it because they are related to World Cup (who is Weltmeyers sire - World = welt in German), others do it simply because they like the name.

If you're curious though, Weltfürst means World Prince in english :)
