Well I eventually gave up my last lease horse, 20y/o Drum! :o And am on to something, I don't know if i'd say better, but he's def bigger!!!! This is Stewart Little, standing at an almighty 17.2hh !!! :D

He came to the riding school about 4 months ago. He has good breeding in him (By Clover Hill) but seemed like a plod! Perfect!!! :) Unfortunally that wasnt the case! A plod with a strong rider, a lunatic with an ever so slightly unbalanced one!

So he was given to me just for a while t ride. I wont lie, I HATED him! His conformation isnt great. ie. one leg is so pigeon toed it looks like someone took it off and put it on again in the wrong place!!! This gives him, quite bluntly, the most awful trot I've ever sat to!

To getr to the point, we started in a chunky snaffle, schooled over a very VERY small course and I had no control whatsover (stewart had a great time though!!;) ) The bit was changed to a gag after alot of pleading as it isnt my horse ...yet!! I swear I thought I was riding a different horse.

He came with no back end (I'll post these pics soon) and it's steadily improving and really trying hard to work from behind. Soon fell in love with him and have decided to lease him as he was of no use to the school ! :D :D :D

This is our second show last weekend schooling around the 90cm. Will jump the 1m tomorrow! :p

Edited to say, critique if you wish!!! :D

Thanks Everyone!! Oh and just to say aswell, I said he's a plod and then said but i changed him to a gag! Doesn't mke to much sense! He's very quiet on the flat but juming is another story! In this video we're jumping in a gag, martigale and flash. I found the flash made a HUGE difference!

I'd love if you would point out all my stupid mistakes or improvements! And what do you think of the bridle combo!? :D

Really like your video. He certainly has a big jump - you ride him well. I also have a horse by Clover Hill. Very strong:)

Thanks for the replies! Horsemaniac- It was a fairly strong 90 aswell and he bearly has to tuck!!! :D But at the same time everything he jumps feels HUGE!! He really uises his back end!

Dansmum- Have a mind of their own don't they! Just out of interest what bit do you ride yours in?

Luv to Trot - Hehe, I didn't pick it, but it was either that or Big Ben :D

Just home from a show today again! Disaster is the only word to describe the round! Had no control whatsoever, and this is in a gag and a flash!!! My trainer knew to stay away for a bit when I came out, felt like crying and saying I'll never jump him again! Then he said I had to jump the next class!!! Made me stay on him for half an hour while the class was finishing and in that half an hour he stayed with my to help. :D

Went in and was told any time he got strong come back to walk from canter and then re-canter straight away, wow did it work! Had to come back to walk about 10 times though!!! Horses

Love my trainer for making me go again! Especially seen as I was working today and was told I could put Stew in the truck because he never takes long! Didnt even have to pay for my 2nd round because trainer "insisted" I jump and then "insisted" on paying!!! :D

Hi Lorri

My horse Dan is now 14, he has had around 7 or 8 different owners and has spent most of his days hunting - laterly as a hunt masters horse. He was hunted in a rubber pelham. He has a really high head carraige but also overbends (if that makes sense). I ride him in a Comfort Fit Myler Snaffle with a flash and running or standing martingale. This works for all I do with him but I suspect I would need something stronger if I was hunting.:)
