Cherry has clearly been educating Indy in the ways of human manipulation....
Last night I kept the girls in... washed their legs off, gave them a good groom..... all in preparation for a special day. Cherry was to be ridden again after appox 6 weeks and Indy was to be ridden and led behind her by Dom... a joint walking hack of approximately 30mins. Girls were primped, spritzed, tacked up and off we set. "Hmmm.." thought I, "Chez feels a little stiff in her knees... perhaps she will loosen up...." Then comes a shout from behind.... Shanny was telling me that Indy is lame on her near fore.... cue cancelled hack.
Oh well... Chez was hooleying around in the new field yesterday so she may have overdone it and Indy probably had a go too... PLUS she did get ridden yesterday... so her poor muscles may be adjusting... there's always another time, eh?
Still, once again we got a couple of piccies...
This one makes me laff... Shanny will be 21 in July and she was struggling to tack up a "huge" 13hh pony....

This is NOT how the hack was planned, I hasten to add... Dom just gave me the leadrope so he could take the photo.... LOVE Cherry's raspberry... "Hee hee... I win... NO hack for me!!!"

"Dom!! HELP!! Chez has moved and Indy hasn't!!"

Chez realises she is home and dry.... and grins to prove it!!! "Nice act Indy... we don't have to work now.... thasss my gal!!!"

last October....

(Just for the record, they really AREN'T tourniquets round Cherry's front legs.... her feathers make them look tight - perhaps THAT'S why she felt stiff? Lack of blood to her hooves??? :p )
Here endeth the gratuitous photos for THIS weekend.... ;)
