When Hairy met Indy.....

... today HairyCob came to visit again! It's my turn to visit her again really but I used the ace up my sleeve of having a second ponio for her to meet!! ;)

Once again, we had a lovely day, the sun shone (not like that weather in Cooper-land!) and we managed to cram in a pub lunch AND a pub geek-meet this evening with Sooty and Astropoof.... lots of laughter there! Plus we visited two tack shops and a Countrywide... phew!

Anyway, HC has found herself shrunken in size recently (without any slimming club help either! :rolleyes: ) SO..... my dear friend donned her BP and I persuaded her to be another practise rider for Indy....It was kept very brief, and we just walked round the yard on both reins, me leading. Claire did an excellent job and even managed to get Indy walking forwards off the lead-rein - a first. We kept it to 5mins max as I had been forgetful and only had a pair of child-length stirrup leathers and small irons so we went slowly and carefully to avoid any panic situations....

As you can see, Indy was her usual "flighty", terrified self..... (not!)

Indy DID manage to disgrace herself slightly by nipping HC, not once, but TWICE!!! :eek: :o So much for me telling you all she doesn't do that anymore!!! I wonder if it was because HC was a stranger.... something I need to work on.... "Excuse me, could I borrow you to teach my pony not to bite you...." hmm, I think I will also need to work on the wording for that one.....

Thank you Claire for a lovely day.... in fact, thank you Dee too for a lovely afternoon yesterday too.... I am a bit "tweaky" following my first decent-length hack out for about 6m, but not as bad as I had feared.... :)

T'was another fabby day in Wiltshire for me, and wonderful to catch up with Jane in the flesh and to see Astropoof and Sooty again too:D

I haven't laughed so much in months.... talk about therapy, I'm still giggling at some of the comments made in the pub:eek: How long til Saturday girls:eek: ;)

Thankyou again Jane, for making me so welcome... though I'm not sure I'll feel the need eat again for a week... where are the photos of lunch?! Sadly I forgot to take any of dinner (cooked by Jane might I add, and delicious, if far too much of it after our 'light' lunch;) )

Six months severe depression resulting in no appetite and massive weight loss...to be honest, it's not a reccomended weight loss programme, I'd try slimming world ;)
