Yet again I had a lovely session today with Ziz :D
Had a few issues with mounting but still got on BY MYSELF in 15 minutes so that's a big improvement. Schooled her for a bit in a half flooded school (marked off with cones), she was a bit spooky but settled down quite quickly, worked on lots of flexing, bending exercises etc as she's been stiff and so have I, so I was concentrating on keeping myself supple and flexy too. Did lots of trot and walk with her flexing to the outside rein, got some lovely shoulder in and almost got a fantastic leg yield to the right - the left's hunky dory but the right's her stiff side. By the end of the session she was much freeer and I was grinning like the proverbial Cheshire cat. (That was after the wonderful canters around and canter/trot transitions on a 20m circle).
The best bit of today - I say pah to the weather - who's bothered about howling wind, rain and hailstones clattering around the yard, onto the roof of the school and through the gaps - not us.:D
And yes I did walk up the road a bit, but it started hailing and I didn't have a coat so I turned back - soaked in 5 minutes.
So that's yet another positive thread from me, I luff my hoss :D
