I was wondering if anyone could recommend some courses to begin learning about horses/horse care etc. I know there are degrees but is there a GCSE type course available?

Sometimes I worry about my thinking - I totally forgot my riding school does courses. I'll ask about them next time I go - I don't really want to work with horses but feel I would like to take some exams so I know what I'm doing when I finally get to buy one.

I'm doing the level 1 horse care largely for the same reasons and can wholeheartedly recommend it. Most of it's common sense but it's good to have some basics to rely on as well as giving experience of working with a wide range of horses.

Who knows, after a few weeks you too may discover the satisfaction of a well made bed...
