As there seem to be some experts on turn-out here I would appreciate a bit of help. I hope to show Penny in Ridden and Working hunter this year and would appreciate some help with turn-out.
Unfortunately the only photo I have in show gear at present isn't very brilliant, and is from jumping a few weeks ago. For showing I would be wearing a blue velvet hat with a leather harness, and boots with a garter strap, and Penny would have a havanna double bridle with a rugby pelham.
Depending on your advice, I would be in the same shirt, tie, tweed & breeches (should they be yellower?) and Penny would be in the same black saddle (not ideal I know, but it is all I have apart from a black dressage saddle). In case you can't see propery, I am wearing a white shirt and a maroon tie with gold spots.I would also be carrying a leather covered showing cane, and Penny would be plaited and her tail pulled.
This (http://www.photobox.co.uk/album/album_photo.html?c_photo=66485531) was Penny last summer (I must get a more up to date photo). Her quarters have grown since then - not enough but I am working on that!
