Right, I am going to enter Phantom into lots of dressage comps this summer, once he's fit, and I will be riding in my Trekker Treeless.

He's liver chestnut with a big white face and looks so nice with a white saddlecloth for the occasion, but his treeless pad is black, and a normal saddlecloth doesn't have spine clearance. Is there any way of adapting a normal dressage saddlecloth for the occasion so we can still look smart but have him comfortable?

I was thinking of putting the saddlecloth between the saddle and the treeless pad, but I have no idea how bulky it would be or if it would work?

Rather trivial question but i'd miss my white square! One day i'll buy a Mattes white dressage square with spine clearance and shimable pockets, when i'm no longer a broke student

I'd put the treeless pad on first so you get your wither and spine clearance, then your white numnah then the saddle. You may find it doesn't look as neat but at least he'll be comfortable and you'll nearly be conforming to the stressage rules ;) :)
