when showing do my riding boots have to be leather???

I currently ride in rimfrost riders, would these be ok?

Also I see all the different coloured and types of jackets. Which jacket are used for which disciplines, or is it a matter of personal choice?

Sorry for the million and one questions but I have been thinking about taking the moose to a local show in September and not sure what to wear. Dont want to look totally silly :D At least when she stops and refuses to move the judges can say oh well at least the rider dresses nicely :D

Rimfrost riders really aren't ideal. Not so much from the material, but more from the chunkiness of the things. Saxon do long leather look boots for around £40 I think.

Showing it really depends on the horse, most are shown in tweeds though. Otherwise, it's navy, not black but I don't want to kick that one off again.

Dressage seems to be predominantly black for the whole black and white thing, but navy and tweed are also fine at local level.

You don't see many tweeds in the local sj ring, but almost any other colour of jacket goes, so you can wear whatever as long as it's smart.
