Turville Classical are running another open day
Sunday April 21st 11.30 am start finish approx 3pm.

I cannot reccomend these days highly enough, classical equitation at it's best, with some absolutely stunning horses, if you don't come away having learnt something then you must have had your eyes and ears shut. :D :p

As far as I can see Turville don't have a website, but searching through the forums has come up with a contact number - 01491 638338 and I found an address on the ABRS Website (http://64.224.85.61/) which I assume is current:

Orchard Cottage
Turville
HENLEY-ON-THAMES
Oxon
RG9 6QU

Here's a useful map from Streetmap (http://www.streetmap.co.uk/streetmap.dll?grid2map?X=476573&Y=191179&arrow=Y&zoom=5)

I will hopefully be there as I just missed the one last October :)

Thanks Paul - sorry message was so abrupt, I was dragged off the pc by my daughter!

They will be showing classical training methods from starting a youngster up to performing high school dressage to music.
These days are very informative, highly entertaining and well worth a visit.

You can email them for further details tvsclassic@aol.com

No more takers??

Fingers crossed I should be able to come - am going to ask a friend if she can do Brennin for me on the 21st! Hopefully I'll see you there!

Hi all,

I finally got my photos of Turville and I'm quite proud of some of them. I'm going to get them up on a website *soon* but in the meantime here's a taster of the wonderful horses up there:

This one is Lucca (I think).

Enjoy :)

...and this one is a lovely little Welshie called Dallas, just to show that you don't have to have a posh bloodline to be a star :p

Have you any more of Dallas Paul? I though maybe if I showed them to Kerry!!!!!!!!!!! Only joking. He's lovely. I think it was Dallas I say last year at Turville - is that right Larri?

Yes Dallas was at last years display along with my little Welsh wizard Merlin ( who also does a fantastic Spanish Walk!)
That's the message they try to get over at the Turville Demos - Classical Riding IS for Everyone!
Having a flash Iberian is great but don't let it stop you if you don't aspire to those dizzy heights, nearly every pony at the riding school they had at Turville till recently was trained in classical dressage - yes I've seen Welsh sec c's do piaffe and levade!! ;)
Me - I get the best of both worlds :D :D :D

Ok I've got it up and running - sort of!
The web site is here (http://www.paul.cooper.dial.pipex.com) but some of the photos aren't showing for some reason. It's late and I'll have a look at it tomorrow. Just enjoy the ones that work for now :)

Paul

I've basically rewritten the site but the Pipex web server is still publishing the old stuff. The change should filter through in the next few hours; I'll have a look tomorrow

What fantastic photo's, I wish I could have been there. I just love watching classical riding. My hubby came with me to Equus (he's not horsey at all) but even he was spellbound when watching the dressage displays.

Thankyou for sharing them, hope you manage to sort out the missing ones.

HI Paul,

Did you take any photos of my friend Una's stunning stallion called Onix ( although he is pure white!) which Diane and Angela borrowed to do the show? Angela was riding him I think.

Heather: I may have some of Onix. I can remember his name but for the most part I wouldn't know which was which. Once my site is back up have a look and let me know. I did take some others but they didn't come out as good so I didn't include them. What oes Onix look like?

Becky: Glad you like the photos, and had no idea that any of the people in them were NR :).
Sorry about the site; as soon as I can get it sorted out and I'll post an update. Probably won't be until next week as I'm off to Madrid tomorrow (work).
If you let me know which one you're after I'll rescan at a higher res and email it to you - can you pm me with your email addy?

Paul

Update: the site is fully functional as far as I can tell :) Please let me know if anything still looks wrong.
