Have just got a second hand saddle which is in really good nick but has a couple of surface scuffs and scratches as expected with second hand. I can remember someone on her polishing up an old saddle to look almost brand new but can't remember who it was!!
Anyone have any tips? or is it a case of getting the saddle soap out, using a bit of elbow grease and hoping for the best?!?

You can use a bone if they are deep and bone them out with boot polish. Or just gently keep saddle soaping or use Hopers 1882 or similar on it.

I'd say it's just a case of giving it a really thorough clean then using a good saddle soap or leather conditioner depending on how dry the leather is. After a few goes the scuffs & any small shallow scratches will disappear & you should be left with a lovely shiny saddle!
