you know the bit at the side, on the flap, the slit opening?
what is it for?
its one of those things I wonder about but have never gotten around to finding out.

Are you maybe reffering to the slot the stirrup leather slips into? (after you have done the stirrup leathers up and you have an extra bit of leather hanging down)

OMG wow!
I need to thread the stirrup leather excess through them next time, save me some money as I was going to buy chaps because of the lovely bruises I get!

No such thing as a silly question Dawn- although that's very easily said!!
Given there was a whole post about it I guess lots of people might not know it exists or what it's for.
I guess it's happy riding and hopefully no more bruising from now on.
