Harry has never looked so good in the spring! Fair coverage across his ribs, good, shiny coat, feet and hooves and a pleasant attitude!

All that feed, Simple Systems Just Grass and Total Eclipse, Dengie Alfa Oil, decent hay, haylage, NAF calmer and a month in a stable at night seems to have done the trick this winter.

Now, back to work to lift that topline a bit more.

Has anyone else had some good results this winter.

me to.. ( taking pics later)

Kai has kept his weight superb over winter and his coat is lovely and soft/silky to

I have had him rugged until a couple of weeks ago, and fed him simply on Build up cubes, Alfa A Oil ( I personally favour it highly), and Speedibeet...

He has had a good paddock for most of winter ( out 24/7 until last week) and has had couple flakes of hay a day to.

His feet are great ( unshod) and Generally I'm happy with his all round condition.. and hasnt seemed to of boiled over with his feed either.

My chunky monkey has also come out of the winter well, in fact so well that over the last few weeks I've been trying to slim her down ready for the new grass. She's in terrific form with a wonderfully shiny coat.

She's tb x id and has lived out all winter on Alpha A Oil, speedi-beet and Top Spec balancer. It's definitely a formula I shall keep to for next winter.

This time last year, Sal was very ill, so he was very underweight and lost a lot of condition and generally looked poorly :(

This year, he is coming out of winter fat and shiny (I have kept feeding him, even though he is out of work  :D ) and looks lovely. I changed him onto Calm and Condition, Alfa A Oil and Speedibeet and weigh everything out now - it takes a good ten minutes to mix his feeds! :o

When I bought Joy in December I was concerned at just how quickly she had dropped weight in the previous 6 weeks I had use of her whilst she was on working livery at a riding school for her previous owner hense my haste to move her!

Don't get me wrong she had weight to lose but the rate of lose alarmed me.

She hadn't developed a winter coat so I rugged her (which I would have preferred not to do) and introduced a feed of Alpha A, Speedybeet, pasture nuts and seaweed.

She has come out of winter in perfect condition although I would have preferred her to be a bit on the thin side because she is a good doer so willl have to be watched carefully with the spring grass. Given how quickly I know she can drop weight I know the weight will go on fast too.

If I could wave a magic wand then I would keep her how she is now (but with more muscle which will come as she is worked more in the good weather) all year round.

Well 2 of mine have come out of winter at good weights, Cassie is looking good, Saphy is exactly the same weight now as when I got her in October, and still fit :D Phantom is still mega fat but it is coming off, the shetlands are by no means obese, but they have those little shetland pot bellies :p Grazing muzzles soon!

Well done everyone!

My boy lost some weight for the first time EVER!!!!! He is a good doer. However...I think it had to do with his very runny poos and upset tummy because he is now on a new supplement ...bio sponge made by Platinum Performance and he has gained some of his weight back and is much more energetic....the lovely, tasty spring grass helps a lot:D
You know you are totally horse addicted when you send a picture of lovely apple shaped poos to your bestest horsey friend who is on vacation in Hawaii at the moment:o She had a special pineapple martini to celebrate:D We horsey people are so nuts huh?:p

Gitcha has come out very obese, and Willie has come out a little ribby. Nothing unusual there.

The field was so much drier and greener yesterday. It's just lovely knowing that we're on the way to summer.

I had Harry out at night last week but brought him back in again when the weather turned at the weekend. It's really hard to put him out when his best buddy pal is in still in at night as he just whinnies all the time.

I havent got round to that bath yet!

Just to let you know, that picture is Harry in full winter coat too!
