Any of you computer wizards out there able to help? I am trying to attach some photos of Fanta jpg's, but it keeps coming back telling me that the files are too large. How do I make them smaller?
Cheers,
Heather - definitely not a computer wizard!

Try this.
To attach an image it needs to be less than 50k bytes in file size - the pixel dimensions don't matter.
You can try
http://webservices.adobe.com/optimize/main.html
which is an online shrinker - pick the JPG high to low quality format and it will produce a selection of images, one of which should be under our 50KB limit. Copy that back from the site and you should be able to add it here.

I have the images compressed and small enough already, so I'll try to attach them.

The last one was the extended trot. This one should be the spanish walk. Hope it works.

What these photos don't show is what a honey bunny he is.
He has the most enormous, liquid eyes you have ever seen and he just loves people. When Heather did a demo. with him we stood in the middle to watch, he was torn between offering Heather any move she asked him for and... just popping into the middle to say "whato!" to us.
I think I am right in saying he is a Lusitano.

Heather described him somewhere as Hispano Arab, but I'm not sure what that means ... Andalusian X Arab?

Yep, he is a Hispano Arab which quite rightly Linda, is indeed Andalusian x Arab. He was born in Spain, and spent his time there until his owner sent him to one of his pupils in POrtugal to sell for him, January last year. I saw him a year ago at the end of this month, finally getting him back here in June.
He lost a huge amount of weight travelling even with one of the top interntaional transporters, and then we had to have him gelded shortly after arrival as he was a nightmare. IN Portugal with the other horses at the yard all being stallions he was a lamb, but as soon as he got a whiff of women- everytihng went to pot!
It took him a while to settle and I have spent six months going baack to basics with him- he had been taught piaffe, Spanish walk etc, but couldn't do a decent trot- very short, ponyish strides and an awful walk. His paces have now changed out of all recognition.
The medium trot was only his second ever attempt at lengthening, and this was only the second time he had been ridden on my outdoor school. He was just so naughty outdoors that we had to really get him settled and working well indoors before we could get any sense outdoors.
He was still a bit whoopee out there and it shows in that he has shortened in the neck in the medium trot and has got a bit strong, but over the next few minutes, my ex working student Sarah who was having a lesson on him- he got better and better as he found his balance in the lenghtened work, and offered full extension. This was a horse who I had been told in Portugal by his trainer, that Fanta would have very little abilty to extend! I hope to get some better photos to take to Portugal with me at the end of the month when I next go over to train, to give to the trainer concerned!
Unfortunately, Sarah's Dad Mike had only a few shots left at the end of his film- he had been taking photos of Sarah on her own horse - stunning Rheinlander Raffi, and he missed by far the best work with Fanta!
Sarah is in rising trot on the trot photo by the way, and is in the sitting phase hence she looks as if she is tipping forwards had she been in sitting trot./ Doing it in rising helps the horse when first learning to lengthen, keeping the rider's weight off his back.

Hmmm....nice pictures, very reminiscent of a couple of horses I broke in and trained. They were both Lipizzaner x Arab though, very similar looking, they were also stars with the spanish walk. I found them to be some of the most intellegent horses.

Phew, Lipi/ Arab crosses!- having worked with and owned both breeds - having lost my own much loved Lipi last October- and still owning two pure bred Arabs, i woudl say that this cross couldn't come more intelligent!
The HIspano is also extremely sharp. I am just beginning some clicker training with Fanta who is going to take to it like a duck to water. A friend who has doen a fair bit of clicker is coming for a course next week, and promises to also do some CT with Fanta - he will probably invent his own tricks! he is the most loveable character you could wish for loves people and adores attention.
