Do you have to do this at the start of the test as well as the end? Because i've noticed in a few vids i've watched of people's test, they halt and salute at the end of on the centre line after entering..i've never done this, only at the end.

When do you do it?

Depends on the test, in the prelims and the earlier Novices you don't halt. In the later Novices and upwards you do.

read the test, it'll tell you if an entry salute is required or not.

most say 'proceed down the centre line without halting, c track right/left'

its in the tests , a halt , immobility & salute on the first centre line comes in at elementary
