Well, it's only a week to go now until our first show of the year and I'm slowly realising that we're really not ready!

I haven't cleaned my boots since hunting, my jacket needs dry cleaning, the box has a flat tyre, the horse needs clipping and hogging, my tack needs a scrub, I have no idea where my spurs are, and Cobface has decided not to ever canter right properly again. Ever.

Eeh.. Wish us luck. :D

LOL!!! What's it matter? You will get there, you are lucky enough to be able to have a go so make the most of it and all the bestest of luck to you and to your horsey partner.
Main thing is have a great time - I'll bet you are loads younger than me so you have forever to get it all right!!;)

Good Luck! Don't panic, you've still got a week. The priorities are probably the tyre and the jacket dry cleaning, then the clipping, you can do the rest the day before if necessary (but probably not advisable!!).

It's not our first show by any means. It's our first show this year. I'm not worried about the actual show, it's all the things that I should have done by now but haven't quite got round to!

Dad has been up and changed the tyre on the quiet so at least I can tick that one off the list. Jacket will go in tomorrow and horse will be clipped on Tuesday. Looks like I'm going to spend Friday night the way I always do before a show - on the couch with a bottle of wine, surrounded by tack and smelling like leather soap!
