Which are the best grazing muzzles for ponies, I'm looking for a good one which is unlikely to rub. I much prefer the looks of the flat plastic ones to the basket type muzzles but are they any good?

I use a greenguard and its brilliant, everything else I've used rubs, this one is brilliant, they can't slide it off (a regular occurence with my mare) and really does the job :)

I used a shires one and it rubbed both my horses pretty badly. I have heard some horses get the greenguard ones off :o have heard very good things about the Best Friends ones.

yeah I'd imagine that if its not attached to the headcollar tightly enough they could get it off, its knowing how tight is tight though, they used to do a headcollar for the muzzle - not sure if they still do :)

Best friends are by far the best muzzles. We used a standard model on a field safe, sheepskin lined headcollar. Never rubbed our pony once.

I have a shires one for my pony and it's great.
For complicated reasons, I ended up with a full size (my pony's 13.2), but in retrospect I think that this is a good thing because it means that there is a lot of room between his muzzle and the sides of the bucket, so it doesn't rub at all. I think that if I had one that was a tighter fit, it might rub.
