Not quite sure if this is the right forum but I am sure Mike will move the thread if not. For all those who remember the nervous wreck - oh er is THAT a saddle at Heather's first seminar. We have been through hell fire, and foot and mouth, including somebody who seriously told me to shoot her! [whilst acting behind my back in a way guaranteed to upset a laid back plod let alone a nervous Tbx]. However after all that that "nervous wreck" is now cantering out on the moor, starting lateral work and is as happy as larry. She is a bit spooky, and insists in her tack fitting absolutelyperfectly, but that is her character and is getting better. Her canter is not yet very balanced but is soo comfortable.
I am chuffed to bits with her. She can even cope with the dentist with equanamity.

HI Jill,

Having seen Connie that day at the NR seminar, as have several others on this forum, and Mike Peace having worked with her, all I can say is congratulations for your perseverence and patience, which is now clearly paying great dividends. You must be thrilled!

Well done you have every right to be chuffed. People who recommend shooting difficult sensitive souls, make me so cross. Someone once said the same about Dizzy, the my way or the highway opinion, is for those that will never feel the sense of achievement and pride you do now.

Hi Mossy,

I'd be interested to know more about how you got Connie's confidence. My horse, Davey, is utterly bombproof in company, but a big cowardly fool by himself. He had no experience of doing anything on his own before I got him. I stick to short excursions by ourselves, and will hopefully build up to more, but sometimes he just seems to panic and think "Blimey, I'm off home". I think he is actually worried rather than playing up, since he snorts like a dragon the whole time we are out....
