help!
I'm going to this schooling show with a friend this weekend, she really wants me to go. I just found out about it like less than a week ago.
I could go just for the fun of it and work my horse on the grounds to get some experience with the whole showing experience. But I thought what the heck, why not enter a little class?
But! I really don't know what to expect and stuff. I've only shown a walk trot dressage test. If we can do that, do you think we'd be able to do a walk trot equitation class???

I'm like freaking out!!!!! HEELLPP!

I dont see why not. The only difference is you ride in a group and youre judged on your riding instead of really the horse, at least thats how the equitation classes around here are.

Not sure where you are, but over here anybody can do an equitation class - it's just the better your riding, the higher you'll get placed.

In the UK you'll need to be able to walk and trot in a group, and then do a short individual show which I imagine the judge will probably specify.

If they don't, I would probably walk away from the judge, then trot around in a figure of 8, doing sitting trot/holding reins in one hand on the diagonals, then back to walk to stop for the judge.
