Do road nails wreck rubber matting????? I only hack out once a week at the moment. The Tom Thumbs my farrier puts in dont wear down enough and we still slip everywhere. So I was wondering about Road Nails....

they shouldn't do  they're exactly the same as normal nails but I think they've got titanium heads which are better for gripping road surfaces, they're not like studs and they dont stick out, your rubber matting should be fine :)

Joe has those tungsten doofers in his shoes - (not sure what correct name is) but they don't wreck his rubber matting. They sure work too - stopped him slipping many times!

We have titum pins rather than road nails. FaNTASTIC. No damage to the mats either all for £5 a set as well

Rio had road nails when she was shod and they had no effect on our matting :)

My rubber mats have been down for donkey's years and we always use road nails.
