I've sort of written about this in cafe too but that was more about the whole competition - I did combined training on Saphy yesterday.
We did prelim 4, my first prelim test and Saphy's first ever dressage test. She was a bit silly warming up as there was another horse in the school cantering around, but in the test (indoor school) she really settled and because I was riding a lot stronger, she was really listening and starting to soften.
I went to collect the sheet after, thought we'd be in the 50's, and we were third on 63.6%! I was beaming! The judge is a brilliant rider too, does advanced medium and her family own a competition centre. Way to go Saphy!
The judge's comments were:
"Lovely willing horse, a promising test, now ready to work in a softer, rounder outline for more marks. Well done, lots to like, make sure you keep her supple around your inside leg."
