so got my thorowgood and was all excited, turns out she has high withers so it was no use at all!!!!
She is a standardbred, they are supposed to be low withered, Connie like to be different.
So, I know you get thorowgoods for high withers, but are wintec anygood?

When I got a saddle fitted for Sidney the wintecs were no good. It was the thorowgood one that fitted him best. I never had any problems with it at all and neither did he. And as a plus the thorowgoods are cheaper! ;)

It was a thorowgood maxam I tried, but sits way too low on her withers.
Since been told she is not high withered, but will need a GP saddle with a cut back pommell.
The search goes on....

You need a saddle company saddle....They have a square cut pommel and are fully adjustable...

I would recommend the Thorowgood High wither saddles over the Wintec anyday.

i have the wintec 2000, my horse doesnt have massive withers but they're bigger then 'normal'. the wintec gives her plenty of clearance.
