As i am not sure if i will be able to have a lesson with jayne lavender .Can anyone recommended a NH trainer which they are useing .As ella has started to take her self up from the field.Claire said yesterday she tryed to tie ella up in the stall and ella pulled away and cantered down the drive so she said start puting the lead rope around her nose.

If the gate gets left open its only up the drive on to a busy road.Im real starting to think she is noy the horse for me .I wanted something i could have fun with maybe i am not meant to ride just look after.I wish i could ride bess but at her age it would not be fair.she is 30 good old girl.

Where do you live Eve?? Have you been on the Intelligant Horsemanship or Enlightened Equitation websites?? They usually list their trainers on there..

I sympathis with you as Captain started doing this when I moved him to a new yard. :( Anyway things happened and we moved back to the old yard temporary but we will be moving again at the end of this month and I am not looking forward to the pistols at dawn race to the gate game...

2nd the IH Recommended Associates :) I use one for Saff occasionally and they're brilliant :D

The RAs are best for behavioural issues. The EE teachers are better for riding and in hand stuff though some of them do behavioural work too.

Kate Prowse may be worth considering, her rates are quite good and she's based in Essex :) ....

I know how it is. When I first got Mayo I saw everyone cantering round on their horses one reined in the fields and having a great time and there was me and Mayo still trying to find out how to be together, only just learning how to circle, back him up etc. on the ground. Now I'm there doing what they are I realise thyat the learning was just as fun if only I had realised it as we were creating our journy and on a way to a partnership building trust and respect, but most of all love. Sometimes we forget this and we just need someone else to remind us that all we need and subconciously want is to have a friendship based and love and trust, if we kept that in mind we would know we were already there if we just asked the right question we would see the horse is offering it freely but we don't know how to receive it.............yet if we listen hard enough we one day here what the horse has to say but only through trial and error. Rambling a little now, sorry.
