Hi All

Am in process of purchasing a 14h Haflinger mare. However, as with all cobs they have silly head sizes! Tried my own Lematex cob bridle it only just fitted round the nose! But full-size a bit too big!

Any ideas (I want leather rather than synthetic as I know Thorowgood do a cob bridle).

Ta:D :c

Fylde Saddlery make to order, or you could just buy the parts you need from a make such as Sabre.

buy a jeffries bridle. That way you can mix and match the sizes. When i first got toby he had bits that were cob and bits that were full, then when he grew i replaced the cob bits.

she's gorgeous nicola, congrats :D

I've got a really nice full size Sabre bridle, which after a long chat to the nice lady in the tack shop and measuring it against the cob bridle we tried on her on Friday it should be a nice fit. Nice simple cavesson one think she will look really good in it.

Libbyo, the two Fjords are really nice, said hello to them in the field on Friday. He moves to a new yard soon which sounds really nice, so might be worth a visit when he has moved to his new place.

Thanks EB, she, just hope she isn't too 'blond'! Oh well match me I can be quite dippy at times!

OOh like waiting for Christmas!:p

For you/anyone with a similar problem I found a full sized Anky bridle fitted my 14.3 Haffie (3 yo) really well and wasnt too expensive! Dont like the 'label' Anky tho, everyone calls it the Skanky bridle  But I like crank nosebands (tho NOT done up tightly) and this had one of them.

Enjoy your lovely lovely Haffie - you'll be hooked!:D
