Just wondering what are everyones thoughts on the old fashioned plastic bucket muzzles?
Have herd alot of bad feedback about them, mostly because they are too hot for the horse in the summer.
Also I use a shires nylon web muzzle on my boy, I brought 5 last summer/autumn because he wares away the rubber base with his teeth so I end up with a rather large hole and a nr US item as he stuffs himself full, does any one find that the best friend versions have thicker/harder bases? don't really want to go out and waste alot of money if he is going to do the same thing!?
I will be strip grazing him with his nylon muzzle this year but when he comes out for a few hours to play in the big field with his buddy I was going to put a plastic bucket muzzle on as he won't be able to eat alot of grass and there for should play/move around abit more, he use to with the nylon muzzle just get down to the serious business of eating when let out in the big main field(which is rich cattle grazing may i add!) any feed back on the plastic/best friend muzzles?
